He was bestowed the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) in recognition of his outstanding service and contributions to his community. His professional expertise in management consulting earned him the ICMCA Emerging Professional of the Year 2024, an honour celebrating new CMCs who exemplify exceptional ethics and elevate consulting standards early in their careers. Wesley's accomplishments reached new heights as he was named the National Champion of Canada 2024, showcasing Canadian excellence in management consulting on the global stage. Most recently, he, along with Paterson Consulting Inc., received the CMC Canada Project of the Year 2025 - Silver Award for their outstanding project work. His global reputation was further solidified with a nomination for the prestigious ICMCI Constantinus International Award 2024, which honours groundbreaking projects in management consulting and places him among the industry's elite worldwide.

Wes resides in Medicine Hat, AB, a medium size city in Canada, and home to the world’s tallest teepee. He and his wife have five children between them. Proficient in several martial arts, his adventures have included bungee jumping, sky diving, and partaking in a Great White Shark Diving Expedition from a small fishing vessel near Guadalupe Island, 250 km off the coast of Baja, Mexico.

Wesley Paterson, CMC® sits on the Board of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta (ICMCA), is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) Oral Assessor and a Senior Advisor for CMC Canada's Management Advisory Services (MAS) Program. In addition, he is the Chair for the Advocacy & Communication Committee and is a member of the Practice Review & Disciplinary Committee (PRDC) with ICMCA. Wesley also sits on the Board for the Project Management Training Alliance (PMTA), along with providing Board Advisory Services for a number of private companies.
